Gimme Love, Chaz & Luce, Adelaide, Australia

The weather had been terrible in the days leading up to Chaz and Lucy’s wedding, March 2011. Being from England, I felt a bit ripped off when I arrived in Australia for the very first time to grey and drizzly skies – Neighbours and Home & Away, you lied to me!!!

Everyone was suitably nervous about the rain, but on the wedding day itself the skies cleared, not a drop of rain fell, the sun shone bright and the ground underfoot was reasonably dry (good enough for heels on the lawn, though I kicked mine off to shoot of course). It turned out to be a perfect day for their wedding on the lawn – and, after a tough couple of years, a very well deserved lucky break for Chaz & Luce.

The ceremony took place on the lawn of the beautiful Waverley Estate, Adelaide,  as the sun set behind the happy couple.
Simply gorgeous.

After the dinner and speeches, the party kicked off. Chaz and Luce gave an amazing rendition of the Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) dance… Beyonce, eat your heart out! It continued to the wee small hours and, eventually, I did put my camera away… probably a little later than I should have.

This was such a beautiful wedding, it made me so trigger happy that sections of the wedding photos played out almost like a stop motion video. So, I put the photos in to a quick slideshow (and I was thrilled when I found the perfect song; Gimme Love by The Troubadours). See the video here.
